About Us

Our Brand

House of Huey was created to empower individuals globally of all shapes and sizes to be confident in themselves and who they are. The styles that we bring are inspired by the curves that belong to all, and the pain, struggle and triumph that is our people. Our brand works around the clock to bring iconic pieces for the men and the women. House of Huey strives to be a place that spoils by providing show-stopping, high quality pieces that exude beauty, fun, sexiness, poise and confidence. From time to time, our brand will provide accessories, merchandise and other products that we believe our clients will love and, more importantly, are must-haves!

Our brand name was inspired by the name of our CEO's son - Huey. He was named after Huey P. Newton, a revolutionary African-American political activist who co-founded the Black Panther Party and provided charitable services and support to his community. Coupled with being an unprecedented civil rights trailblazer, he was well-versed and educated as he earned a Ph.D. in social philosophy at the Program of History of Consciousness from the University of California.

Our Boss

Who is our CEO? Kisha J. Pinnock, Esq. is our northern belle who has always been recognized for her confidence, resilience, style, studious yearn and eye for new trends. She used her fashion sense and savvy business skills to turn her dream into a reality when she launched House of Huey. While personally selecting styles for the store, she makes it a point to make sure our clientele are the trendsetters among their circle. Ms. Pinnock is an attorney, civil rights activist, and aspiring civil rights and criminal defense attorney. It was only right that she name her son, and business, after a man who has inspired her throughout her studies and career.

House of Huey endeavors to be a place that, like Huey Newton, empowers, educates, and enlightens. More than fashion, House of Huey will be a place where our clientele will be inspired and informed. In this House, enlightenment meets fashion.

Our desire to empower and educate never ends!

“All my life I had been looking for something, and everywhere I turned someone tried to tell me what it was. I accepted their answers too, though they were often in contradiction and even self-contradictory. I was naïve. I was looking for myself and asking everyone except myself questions which I, and only I, could answer. It took me a long time and much painful boomeranging of my expectations to achieve a realization everyone else appears to have been born with: That I am nobody but myself.”
